Children's Day - 14th November |

Children's Day is celebrated every year on 14 November. the birth anniversary of former prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. the celebration of children's day or Bal diwas in India dates back to and is a day to increase awareness about the rights and education of the children. 

Nehru's love for children was abandoned thus advocated children to have fulfilled childhood. He also Stood up for children's education.

Only special day, schools across the country  conduct various programs for students, Such as Drama, speech, fancy dress, competition etc. Some schools also conduct Rally's.

To make children's day, School organized fun and motivational functions. Many prepare children's Day speech. In many schools, children's are asked to ditch school uniform and wear party clothes to celebrate Bal diwas. It is a joyful occasion for all children, parents and teacher.

In India we celebrate the children's day on November 14 as a tribute to pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Nehru, is the first prime minister of India and was born on November 14, 1889 - thus, all of us celebrate his birth anniversary as children's Day in India. Nehru is the leader of of Indian Independence movement. 

He loves children's very much. Children also loved him and called him " Chacha Nehru".
